The following post is just because I love Bridgeport and can't stop taking pictures in it. ๐Ÿ˜‹
Tumblr media
An aerial view of Bridgeport on a rainy day.
Tumblr media
The rain is gone so here's a look at Randy Kingston's house, up on the hill, with the city of Bridgeport as background.
Tumblr media
This is the view from the rooftop of the Kingston's house, if it had a rooftop, lol.
Tumblr media
Bridgeport in the background again, but now viewed from the pool area.
Tumblr media
The front of the house where the Kingstons have lived for generations, ever since young Roderick married Tiara and started their extended family. Lot is amazing Rhodes Holiday Villa, by Aspen Creations (MTS).
Tumblr media
Another view of the courtyard, with the trailer house and the bar, behind which is the jacuzzi.
Tumblr media
Pool area, with Bridgeport in the back, but at sunset.
*End of the Bridgeport spam. ๐Ÿ˜‰

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL TRUE!
Born November 15th, we celebrate the 57th birthday of Rachel India True (November 15, 1966 in New York City, NY); an African-American actress. She is best known for her roles in such films as The Craft (1996), Nowhere (1997), and Half Baked (1998). True is also known for her role as Mona Thorne on the UPN sitcom Half & Half, which ran from 2002 to 2006.
True was the middle of three children. Her father is of Ashkenazi Jewish descent, whereas her mother is of African American heritage. Her younger sister, Noel, is also an actress. True attended New York University.
True made her television debut in 1991 on the Cosby Show episode "Theo's Final". In 1993, she moved to Los Angeles and made her feature film debut playing Chris Rock's character's girlfriend in the comedy CB4. On television, she appeared in episodes of Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Beverly Hills, 90210, Getting By, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters, Dream On and well as made-for-television movies Moment of Truth: Stalking Back (1993) and A Walton Wedding (1995). In 1995, she had supporting role in the erotic horror film Embrace of the Vampire starring Alyssa Milano.
In 1996, True landed her breakthrough role as Rochelle Zimmerman in the supernatural horror film, The Craft, where she played a member of a teenage coven. True stated that she had to "fight" to audition for the part and was actively going up against her future co-stars Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Robin Tunney. Her role was originally written for a white actress, but that didn't deter her from auditioning. In 1997, she starred in the comedy-drama film, Nowhere alongside James Duval, the film received mixed reviews from critics. The following year, True starred as Dave Chappelle's romantic interest in the comedy film, Half Baked. Also from 1997 to 1998, she also had the recurring role of Janet Clemens on The Drew Carey Show. From 1999 to 2000, she appeared in the ABC drama series, Once and Again.
True appeared in a number of independent movies, include With or Without You (1999), The Big Split (1999), and Groove (2000). She starred alongside Monica and Essence Atkins in the 2000 romantic drama film Love Song. From 2002 to 2006, True starred with Essence Atkins in the UPN comedy series, Half & Half, as paternal half-sisters who barely knew each other until becoming adults. She returned to film, playing the supporting role in the 2007 comedy The Perfect Holiday. The following years, she appeared in a number of smaller and made-for-television films, include The Asylum productions Social Nightmare (2013), Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys (2014), Sharknado 2: The Second One (2014), and Sharknado: Heart of Sharkness (2015). In 2017, True worked as a tarot-card reader in Echo Park.
True released her book, True Heart Intuitive Tarot, Guidebook And Deck in 2020. She appeared in horror films Agnes and Horror Noire in 2021. The following year, she joined the cast of the second season of Amazon Prime Video comedy series, Harlem. Also that year, True was cast in Half Baked 2, the sequel to the 1998 cult comedy, reprising her role as Mary Jane Potman.

Radiator Springs/Rusteze-Dinoco Racing Center/Fireball Beach/Thunder Hollow/Thomasville/Florida International Speedway (Cars)
Takes place after Cars 3.
It isnโ€™t combat based. Missions include keeping up with McQueenโ€™s top speed by racing down Radiator Springsโ€™ main street, learning how to turn right to go left at Willyโ€™s Butte, keeping up with Cruzโ€™s top speed on Fireball Beach, avoiding pushy competitors with the Thunder Hollow challengers, and practicing with Cruz at Thomasville, culminating in the Piston Cup race at Florida International Speedway, where the objective is to win against Jackson Storm.
Sora enters the world as a custom-made sports coupe mixing a few real-life sports car models before visits to Luigiโ€™s Casa Della Tires and Ramoneโ€™s House of Body Art end with him modified into a next-gen race car sponsored by Dinoco (with Texโ€™s blessing) and with Cruzโ€™s number.
Itโ€™s set during Cruzโ€™s first Piston Cup racing season, so McQueen still has Docโ€™s colors and spends the Florida race as Soraโ€™s crew chief.
As Sora finishes his story, Mater is certainly unhappy with Xehanortโ€™s actions forcing Soraโ€™s hand. โ€œThat dad-gum Xehanortโ€, he says angrily. Extra points if Sora doesnโ€™t get to the part where Xehanort is dead, then Sarge gets in his face and demands him to teach Xehanort a lesson when he gets back in a militaristic manner. โ€œIs that understood,โ€ Sarge yells. Then Sora tries to correct him, but gets cut off and asked again, โ€œIs that understood,โ€ and has to respond, โ€œSir, yes, sir!โ€
Of course, during the top speed races, Luigi is the one to signal the race to begin.
In the Radiator Springs race, Soraโ€™s top speed is tracked by Sheriffโ€™s speed radar, and on Fireball Beach, itโ€™s via Cruzโ€™s personal assistant, Hamilton.
If you fail the โ€œTurn Right to go Leftโ€ mission, Sora goes flying into the bed of cacti, and Mater fishes him out.
I know Iโ€™ll get hate for this, but Cars 2 elements are here. Heck, maybe Mater canโ€™t be present most for the training because heโ€™s busy with Finn and Holley. After all, does he still owe Holley a first date?
I wanted the player character in this world to be Kairi just so Storm can feel the embarrassment of losing to not one, but two โ€œcostume girlsโ€.
The Piston Cup race is announced as a 500-lap race, but no game developer is that malicious to force the player to race 500 laps around an oval, so theyโ€™d take after the first Cars game and make it twelve laps with the sun slowly lowering throughout the race.

The last day of the Faire, the sky was overcast, with rumbles of thunder in the far distance. As Mayor Nat stepped up to the podium set up in front of town hall, a small crowd gathered to hear the announcement. She proceeded to declare Pandora Flowers as the winner of the costume contest, and withdrew the sword to present to the winner of the tournament, Morgan Vovk.
Before she could, though, Quinn Buckley from the commune ran up on stage and grabbed the microphone from the podium.
โ€œListen! You have to listen. This, all of this, is because of a being far greater than us! It sent the creatures from the woods to test us! To separate the weak from the strong. It judges us because it wants us to be ready before it reveals itself. We have to listen! We have toโ€”โ€œ
Sheriff Henry attempted to take the microphone from her, but she struggled against him, still shouting into the microphone.
โ€œItโ€™s real! I felt its presence! Those that listen will be saved!โ€
Thunder rumbled, closer than before, much closer. A loud crack of lightning illuminated the sky, blindingly bright. Beyond the clouds, briefly visible in that split second, loomed a shape, unrecognizable and massive, both bulbous and gangly. As quickly as it appeared it was gone, and what remained was the sizzling body of Tristan Wilde, struck by the lightning. The sky opened up, then, as thunder boomed directly above, and rain and hail pelted the town.
โ€œItโ€™s there! You all saw it! Itโ€™s real! We have to submit!โ€ Quinn wailed, as Henry attempted to pull her off the stage. โ€œI can prove it! I can walk amongst them untouched! Iโ€™ve been chosen! You can be chosen too!โ€
Her cries fell away in the deafening downpour, and those that had gathered scattered to find shelter in the nearest buildings. Whether or not they saw something or, if they did, if they believe what they saw, remains to be seen.
The storm raged on through the night, as the creatures wandered the streets unperturbed by the rain and hail. The lights of the town flickered and then, as lightning staggered across the sky, everything went dark.
(Those that ran to find shelter found themselves stuck for the night. Below youโ€™ll find the (randomly selected) groups. You can choose for your characters to have seen the shape in the sky, to have not seen it, or to have seen it and not believe it.
Everyone can continue/finish their event threads, as all this took place on the final day of the Faire (the 29th). You may also time-jump threads, headcanon threads, or make new threads for the plot drop. The event officially ends on August 5th, at which time please do not make any more event starters, however you can continue all threads until completion.)

Note
There are lot here, so just pick whichever ones you want to do.
I O P S V (cyrus / aurelius / andrea)
AD AE AN AR
BB BD BE BF
oh that is a lot! jokes on you, iโ€™m doing all of them :3
I. Are there any stories you have been brainstorming but havenโ€™t written yet? so, so many. i have two prequels to sic semper tyrannis up my sleeve, a pirate story set after the death of their beloved captain in which they wrestle with their grief and their conflicting feelings about him, a couple of stories set in the world 9 year old me created as a coping mechanism and a retelling of herodotusโ€™s story of mycerinus (look it up if you donโ€™t know it โ€“ itโ€™s an incredible tale!)
O. Which writer(s) influenced your style? Alternately: which writerโ€™s career do you wish you had/hope to achieve? i want so badly to write like maggie stiefvaterโ€ฆโ€ฆalso, i want my worldbuilding to be as good as ursula le guinโ€™s in her earthsea series (my childhood)
P. What draws you to a story idea? (Example: themes, a fun character, Aesthetic, etc.) godโ€ฆ..i have no idea. story ideas sort of just appear in my brain and shout at me until iโ€™ve written them down. sometimes theyโ€™ve come from songs, sometimes from images, a few times even from dreams! what draws me to them, i guess, is probably the characters and how they feel and view the world and whether thatโ€™s compelling enough?
S. Are you a pantser, planner, or plantser? (How much planning do you put into your stories?) i love the idea of pantsing but ultimately i canโ€™t write without a scene-by-scene plan so i am very much a planner.
V. Original fiction: Do you have a face claim for (character)?ย most of them i make on picrewโ€ฆ. thatโ€™s cyrelius at the top and, from left to right, elias digby, adrien bennet, nora atkins and andrew spencer from merlin motors:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AD. If (story) were adapted in another medium (comic, tv show, etc) what would it be? i have this incredible movie adaptation of honourable dishonour that lives in my head bcs i just know it would be visually so stunningโ€ฆโ€ฆand i have all these ideas for how you could use the medium to your advantage, especially because in the book sunlight is a motif that runs throughout and it would be so cool
AE. What is one word or phrase you catch yourself using weirdly often? ohhhh so many how do i pick. probably โ€˜laughed disbelievinglyโ€™ or โ€˜wrinkled her nose.โ€™ not sure but i do know this happens a lot
AN. If you could collaborate on a story with any author, living or dead, who would it be?ย JANE AUSTEN sorry but sheโ€™s actually my best friend
AR. You are a famous author (you are to me!) and someone comes to your house to interview you and take pictures of where the writing magic happens. What is your ideal writing space and how does the interviewer describe the meeting to their audience? (IE: what kind of vibe do you hope to give off as an author?)
BB. How do you come up with titles? Do you dread this or love it?ย they appear to me in a vision only when i am at my absolute witโ€™s end glowing and haloed and tell me โ€˜be not afraid. i am the perfect title for your wip and i have been staring in your face for like a month and you havenโ€™t even noticedโ€™
BD. What do you like most about your writing? my prose, specifically descriptions. give me any setting and tell me to write 2k words on how beautiful/ugly/eerie/scary/empty/lively etc it is and i am in my comfort zone forever <3
BE. Original fiction: (story) is getting published and you get full creative control for the cover. Describe what you envision. oooo ok so. first of all they wouldnโ€™t be photos theyโ€™d be quite simple art designs. i think sic semper tyrannis would have a raised fist in the middle, and then around that fist the silhouette of a bearโ€™s paw or a bearโ€™s head. cyrelius i imagine maybe an image of the rooftop since thatโ€™s an important motif OR of like a crown. or actually maybe a hand coming up from the bottom left holding a wine glass and a hand coming from the top right and stirring the wine with the fingerโ€ฆ..or something to do with hektor since heโ€™s essentially the keystone of it all?
BF. What is one question you have always wished someone would ask about your story/writing/character? Answer that. โ€œtalk to me about the motifs in cyrelius?โ€ omg wowww what a great question pippa. ok this is gonna get a bit long sorry
honour: so. all the politicians in the royal court have the title of โ€˜honourable ministerโ€™ and addressed as your honour, which is in direct contrast to their obvious corruption, greed and self-interest. at one point the group have a debate with an elderly noble relating to the definition of honour โ€“ he believes its defined by heritage, wealth, land, prestige, having important family, titles. cyrelius go on a business trip in which they end up having to solve a mini-mystery and resolve a dispute, and at the end they praise a poor farmer for his honour. when they are condemned and brought to the king at the end he says that they have betrayed โ€˜both their personal honour and the honour of their nation.โ€™ the rooftop: so aurelius loves sitting on the rooftop of cyrusโ€™s cabinet building and later cyrus ends up joining him there. itโ€™s where they have their first kiss, where they stay up late to talk and where they go to escape from the monotony of paperwork. itโ€™s also where they hide their diaries and letters when they learn that theyโ€™re going to die. itโ€™s significance is that itโ€™s actually one of the highest points in the city, and therefore they can see what most politicians are blind to: the slums. this is significant bcs it represents how they see and care about the injustice that most of the royal court either ignore or actively exploit. and those are just the main onesโ€ฆโ€ฆ.

Yeah, everything between Randy and Jane was going great, like a dream come trueโ€ฆ Until he found out that she was a serial Heartbreaker, and that her lifetime wish was having 10 steady boyfriends. You go figure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He also learned that while Jane was with him, she was having a torrid affair with Jett Atkins.
Tumblr media
The worst part is that Jett is the husband of one of Randy's daughter, Josephine. Which rendered Jane's betrayal unforgivable.
Tumblr media
So Randy didn't hesitate and broke up with Jane right away.
Tumblr media
Jane didn't seem very affected, in fact she immediately started looking online for her next victโ€ฆ erm, her next prospect boyfriend.
Tumblr media
And Randy was left alone again (naturally), waiting for the next owner of his lonely heart. ๐Ÿ’”
